The Doulton Ultracarb 9″ x 2.5″ combines Silver, Ceramic, Carbon and lead removal media to effectively reduce g: Lead, Free Chlorine, VOCs (Trihalomethanes, Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons, Phenols), Herbicides, Insecticides, Cyst, Bacteria, Rust, Sediments, unwanted bad taste & odor and chlorine taste & odor from potable drinking water, as well as other contaminants not visible to the human eye.
Also, not only the Doulton Ultracarb Ceramic Water Filter is capable of filtering 600 gallons, but the ceramic shell allows the filter to be scrubbed and re-used.
The manufacturer recommends replacing the filter every year.
